THOUSANDS of runners are getting ready to take on the Asda Foundation Burnley 10k next Sunday.
Among the roads affected by closures are The Avenue, The Causeway, Hall Road, Jubilee Park Way, Park Bridge Road, Queen Victoria Road, Todmorden Road, Belvedere Road, Ormerod Road, Towneley Holmes Road and Queen’s Park Road. The race will start at 9.30am.
Tristan Batley-Kyle, course director at Run For All, said: “The Burnley 10K is a fantastic event which brings thousands of runners and spectators on to the streets. Unfortunately an event of this size does mean that some roads will have to be closed.
“We will work very hard to keep any inconvenience to a minimum and roads will be open as soon as it is safe to do so.”
