An air ambulance had to land on Sabden Bowling Green to attend to a 12-year-old girl who had fallen from a tree.
Emergency services were called around 4.30pm on Sunday to reports that a young girl had fallen from a tree and was suffering from serious injuries.
A spokesperson from North West Air Ambulance said: "We were called at 4.30pm to an incident involving a young female who had sustained injuries after falling from a tree.
"A land ambulance was also in attendance and paramedics tended to her at the scene before she was air lifted to Alder Hey children's hospital in Liverpool."
