POLICE are set to step up patrols in Hyndburn after a spate of overnight burglaries.
Officers said there has been a spate of break-ins at properties in Oswaldtwistle, Church and Clayton where doors and windows have been left unlocked.
PC Duncan Hall said: “There has been a recent increase of burglaries in the Oswaldtwistle, Church and Clayton areas of Hyndburn. These have all occurred overnight and the vast majority have involved insecure doors or windows. During the warmer nights please be mindful to secure doors and windows, particularly ground floor. There will be an increased uniform, and plain clothed, police presence in these areas in the coming weeks.”
