A MAN arrested in Bacup has appeared in court charged with murder.

Raheel Khan, 27, who was arrested in the town on Tuesday, appeared at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates Court this morning charged with murdering 20-year-old Mohammed Feazan Ayaz, who was found dead in Allerton last week.

Appearing in the dock was wearing a navy T-shirt and grey bottoms, Khan, of no fixed address, spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address.

Khan was remanded in custody to appear at Bradford Crown Court tomorrow.

He is charged, along with four other people, with murdering Mr Ayaz between June 29 and July 2, 2019, at Unit 2, Denholme Business Centre, in Halifax Road, Denholme.

The body of Mr Ayaz was found in Saffron Drive, Allerton, in the early hours of Monday, July 1.

They are Junaid Hussain, 37, of Silverhill Road, Bradford Moor;

Farekh Ejaz, aged 30, of Tower Road, Shipley; Robert Wainwright, aged 26, of no fixed address; and Suleman Khan, aged 20, of Sandford Road, Bradford .

A 47-year-old woman arrested at the same address as Khan on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released on bail.

Two men aged 23 and 24, who were arrested for assisting an offender have also been bailed.
