AN international deal by a satellite communications specialist should provide a timely boost for its East Lancashire operation.
Global Invacom, which has a manufacturing base in Hyndburn, has bought out German rival Apexsat.
And bosses have confirmed that the Apexsat assets, valued at €250,000, will be incorporated into their Altham Industrial Estate business.
Tony Taylor, the company’s executive chairman, said: “This is an excellent example of how Global Invacom can continue to broaden its product base alongside securing valuable IP which we believe will underpin further product development.
“Furthermore, we believe that by integrating the Apexsat technology into Global Invacom, we will be able to upscale the existing Apexsat and Global Invacom customer base through the delivery of high quality, bespoke products.”
