FIREFIGHTERS had a delicate rescue when a little dog became trapped in railings outside an East Lancashire home.
An alert was issued at around 7am this morning when the Lhasa Apso became wedged in fencing at a house in Fielding Lane, Oswaldtwistle.
A spokesman for Hyndburn fire station said that firefighters used metal cutters, routinely deployed during road traffic collisions, to free the animal.
He told the Lancashire Telegraph that the dog appeared to be unharmed as a result of the ordeal.
