FIREFIGHTERS has to cut away burnt areas from the roof of a house after a fire.
At 3.05pm on yesterday engines from Hyndburn and Great Harwood fire stations were called to a blaze at a home in Pickup Street, Clayton-le-Moors.
They spent more than two hours there dealing with the incident and its after effects.
A Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Crews used six breathing apparatus, two hose reels and two fans.
"The firefighters cut away burnt areas in the roof area.
"Crews were engaged for two hours and thirty minutes."
