SOME of Lancashire’s celebrities and top businessmen and women are being ‘locked up’ to raise money for Derian House Children’s Hospice.

Officials from the Chorley hospice believe it is one of their most fun money-raising challenges of the year.

The 18 individuals will be put behind bars for a range of crimes including impersonating Bradley Walsh and uncontrollable snacking.

The only way they can get released is to raise £999 bail money.

Lancashire Police will be making the arrests and inmates will be held in the cells at Leyland’s former Victorian courthouse, La Corte Italian Restaurant.

It is on July 5 and among the inmates will include Rosie Dummer from Extreme Cake Makers of Clitheroe.

She said: “I want to be involved in Derian's mad capped ideas for raising money.

"I am thinking I might have to bribe someone that if they help us get the money then I will bake the person a great cake.”
