A MAN who had been at a football club end-of-season awards ceremony crashed his car on the way home.
Blackburn magistrates heard Matthew Hargreaves was more that three times the legal limit when he was breathalysed after the crash in Gisburn Road, Blacko.
Hargreaves, 21, of Skipton Road, Barnoldswick, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol. He was made subject to a community order for 12 months with 100 hours' unpaid work, banned from driving for 26 months and ordered to pay £85 costs and £309 victim surcharge.
The court heard Hargreaves had called two taxi firms at the end of the night but had been unable to get a taxi.
He had driven his Audi A1 half a mile up the road when he crashed into some parked vehicles.
