A man who had been on the run from police has finally been arrested.
Hasriat Omar Khan, 32, was wanted in connection with a firearms offence after he failed to attend the end of his trial at Preston Crown Court.
Khan, then of Moorland View, Ramsbottom, was convicted in his absence of conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent after a shotgun blast at a property in Beaconsfield Street, Haslingden in May 2017.
Nobody was hurt during the incident.
At the end of May an appeal was made to locate Khan, who went on the run after being convicted of his involvement in the shooting.
Khan was convicted of one count of conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence on 18 April.
He was later sentenced in his absence to eight years in prison with an extended licence of a year.
He was arrested on June 17 in the Blackburn area and is currently in police custody.
