A RECORD number of classic vehicles rolled out and more than 2,000 people attended the annual Lakes Charity Classic Vehicle Show this year.

Set in Grasmere an array of vehicles from cars and motorbikes to tractors were lined up at the Show Field on Sunday.

A number of prizes were handed out throughout the day including the Best in Show award.

A 1960 Jaguar XJ150 took home the Best Car in Show award and the runner up was a Chevrolet 3100 pickup.

A 1949 Ferguson won the Best Tractor in Show prize and a 1956 BSA B33 won the Best Motorbike.

Throughout the day there was also a number of pop up stalls and fun activities for the family to get involved in.

Organised by the Windermere and Ambleside Lions club, the organisation decided to raise proceeds for Parkinsons, Kendal branch and Headway South Cumbria. Next year's event will be on June 21.
