A MAN is awaiting sentence, after admitting twice indecently assaulting a girl and downloading child porn.
Gerald Charnley, 55, of Raglan Road, Burnley, said to have downloaded 102 images, pleaded guilty to 12 counts of making an indecent photo of a child and two of indecently touching a girl under 13 before the town's magistrates, and they committed him to the crown court for sentence.
He was bailed until November 23, on condition he does not obtain computer equipment and does not interfere with or communicate with the prosecution witnesses.
The court was told the defendant exposed a girl by removing her clothes and was said to have straddled across her naked.
John Nuttall, defending, said Charnley would say some of the indecent images were of people 18 and over.
