A NEW leadership team is being put in place at an East Lancashire law firm.

Simon Brown has joined Rawtensall-based WHN from the Money Advice Group to become their first managing director.

He will be working with Michael Shroot, currently director, who becomes chief executive officer.

Mr Brown said: "WHN is a great business with hugely talented teams across all offices and ambitious directors.

"The firm has a clear approach of putting people at the heart of what they do and this personal approach and commitment to client service is leading to growth opportunities."

The company, which also has offices in Accrington, Bacup, Blackburn, Haslingden and Great Harwood, now employs 100 people and has a fees turnover of £5million.

Mr Shroot added: "The legal sector has seen huge change in recent years with new regulations, new technology and a changing society.

"As a firm, we have embraced this change by investing, looking ahead and putting people at the heart of everything we do.

"We have performed extremely well, giving us a great base for the future.

"As we grow as a business we are striving to improve and look for new opportunities and the creation of the new leadership team will help deliver a masterplan for the firm. We can't afford to stand still.

"Simon has a great track record of helping businesses achieve their goals and his experience and skill-set will be a huge asset as we develop a firm for the future."
