A town centre festival due to take place this weekend has been cancelled.
Organisers of the Pendle Festival of Culture, which was being held in Nelson town centre on Saturday, have decided to postpone the event due to bad weather conditions.
The Pendle Peace Walk, which was due to start in Brierfield, has also been postponed.
A spokesperson for the festival said: "We phoned the MET office yesterday for a detailed weather forecast and they mentioned heavy rain with gale force winds up to 35mph.
"Looking at the safety of children, the public and musicians equipment etc, we have decided to postpone the festival until further notice."
Organisers have given a provisional rescheduled date of June 22 but are advising people to keep checking their Facebook page for further details.
