Police have seized a knife in Blackburn town centre
A man has been arrested for walking round a town centre holding a knife.
Officers in Blackburn responded to a call from a concerned shopper who said they had seen someone walking around the town centre carrying a large knife.
A spokesperson for the police said: "The man claimed he was unaware this type of knife was illegal.
"Ignorance isn't an excuse.
"Knife crime is a priority for the force and the man is now in custody."
