A PHOTOGRAPHIC competition has launched to capture the beauty of a town's park.
Friends of Bold Venture Park have launched their 'Calendar Photography Competition', and 12 lucky winners will be selected to feature in the Friends of Bold Venture Park 2020 calendar.
Julie Manton, chair of the Darwen park's community group said: "The last time we held one was three or four years ago and we had some exceptionally good entries.
"This year we plan to reward the winning entries by featuring them in a 2020 Bold Venture Park calendar, which will go on sale for the first time over the Heritage Open Day weekend in September.
"An overall winner will also feature on the front cover of the calendar."
Photos can be submitted in any format, at optimum size and quality, in landscape orientation.
Smartphone images are accepted.
Entries along with name, age and contact details should be submitted to fobvpdarwen@gmail.com by June 30.
