POLICE are appealing for information after a caravan and a stolen car were badly damaged in a fire.

The incident started at around 9.40pm behind St Aidans Avenue in Blackburn on Sunday, June 2.

A large static caravan and a Nissan Primera, which was believed to have been stolen from a house in Warwick Close, on Thursday, May 16, were set on fire.

The caravan was destroyed and the car was badly damaged.

Damage was also caused to nearby homes and fences.

Det con Fiona Hall said: "We believe that the fire was started deliberately and need anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area before or just after the fire to make contact with us.

"Similarly, if you know anything about who may have been involved, please come forward."
