ONE hundred years in business has been celebrated by a Blackburn chartered accountants in an unique manner.

PM+M has renamed its headquarters on the Greenbank Technology Park 'New Century House', in honour of the landmark.

First founded by Richard Porter, John Matthews and Walter Hindle Marsden, the firm has never strayed from its roots.

Managing partner Jane Parry said: "I believe that the secret to our success has been our unwavering ability to adapt.

"We never stand still and we don’t take things for granted. We are always looking for ways to grow and develop but without ever compromising on the high levels of service that we pride ourselves on."

The company now has 115 staff and a turnover of £6.5m.

Ever since it began, PM+M, which boasted growth of 15 per cent for the year, has acted for Blackburn Rovers.

Jane added: "We have a strong retention rate and we are constantly investing in our people because we know the success of the firm is based on the talents of our team.

"Encouraging, mentoring them and helping them be the best they can be is so important to us.”

The company also supports Blackburn Youth Zone and East Lancashire Hospice.
