PATIENTS have been advised services will not be affected by a change in surgery management.
The East Lancashire EU Federation of GPs has taken on the contract for the management of Briercliffe Surgery as the existing contract ended on May 28.
The East Lancashire EU Federation of GPs is a group of local GPs providing extended access appointments and blood tests across East Lancashire for all GP practices.
East Lancashire Clinincal Commissioning Group bosses say Briercliffe Surgery will continue to be run by experienced local doctors and staff.
The surgery, on Briercliffe Road, Briercliffe, and the federation are jointly committed to providing high quality care and modern services for patients in the area.
A CCG spokesman said: "This is a management change. There will be no change to patient services.
"Patients will continue to receive GP services as normal and should continue to use the surgery as usual.
"We will ensure that patients and those with an interest in the surgery are kept informed and updated.
