Despite the rather poor weather this summer the gardeners around Huncoat produced some superb displays in their gardens which have benefitted the whole community.
Judging the 2007 competition was not easy but two winners were chosen as both were of an excellent standard. Each was a 'new addition' to the range of gardens, one having only been started at Easter.
The winners were, Best Front Garden - 60 Station Road and Best non Residential Floral Display - Elder Court Community Garden.
Each were awarded a framed certificate and a cheque for £50 at the recent Area Council Meeting to thank them for their hard work. It is hoped they will be an inspiration for others to join in.
