CAMPAIGNERS in Thursday’s Euro-elections on Thursday have been reminded not to attach posters to street light posts, without advance permission.

Lancashire County Council issued the warning after its workmen had to remove several placards from the Change UK party from lamp standards in Whalley Road, Great Harwood.

A Lancashire County Council spokesman said: “We don’t allow anything to be attached to street furniture without prior permission, and take down anything as a matter of course.

“In this case a number of signs were taken down after someone reported them, and are available for collection from our highways depot.”
