A FORMER councillor has organised a tour for more than 200 former pupils to look round their school.
Naushad Surve, who represented Little Harwood and Whitebirk on Blackburn with Darwen Council from 2007 to this year, arranged the tour of the former Shadsworth High School.
Now operating as Tauheedul Islam Boys’ High School, it ceased operating in the late 1980s as Shadsworth High School and reopened as Blakewater College. An iftar — the fast-breaking evening meal held during Ramadan — will be held.
Mr Surve said: “This will be a great reunion and community cohesion event. I’d like to thank the school for allowing us to go on the tour.”
It takes place on Friday at 7.30pm.
