A WILDFIRE had started in Rossendale.
Firefighters from Rawtenstall and Bacup were called to the grassland at around 8.15pm on Tuesday.
A fire service spokesman said crews used blowers and beaters to put out the fire which was roughly a thousand square metres in size.
Crews were at the scene for an hour.
