DRUGS worth more than £1,000 were found in a house by police.
Officers went to a house in Every Street, Nelson, on Wednesday and found heroin in a battery compartment of a torch, along with packaging, cash and mobile phones.
Police said a man and a woman were both arrested on suspicion of supplying class a drugs.
A police spokesman said after forensic examination and interviews, Ausra Ignataviciute, 40, and Vincas Urbonavicius, 45, both of Every Street, Nelson, have been charged with possession with intent to supply class a drugs.
They appeared at Blackburn Magistrates court yesterday and have been remanded in prison pending a trial.
