THE photographer who took this gallery of pictures as a teenager for a school competition in 1975 is now looking for the people in them.
Roger Bracewell from Great Harwood was a pupil at Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School in Blackburn when he took his camera out to Whalley Range.
He submitted his set of black and white photos for the competition and young girl in her chequered coat won the top prize.
Last month, 57-year-old business consultant Mr Bracewell was rifling through his photo archive at his Cheltenham home when he came across the 34-year-old pictures.
Now a Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society he hopes to mount an exhibition of them including in Blackburn.
Mr Bracewell said: “It was fascinating to find them again.
“I’d really like to know what happened to the people in them - they will all have grown up and have their own lives.
“If I could match their stories to the pictures it would make a great exhibition.”
The full gallery is available on the Lancashire Telegraph and Cotton Town websites.
Anyone who recognises themselves can contact Mr Bracewell at roger.bracewell@cityandwild.com or via Cotton Town at library@blackburn.gov.uk.
