A SCULPTOR and artist from Lancashire is to appear in the new BBC series, Home is Where the Art Is.
Jane Richmond, who has her own studio in Burnley, will compete alongside other artists to win a special new commission for one paying homeowner.
Hosted by DIY SOS and I’m a Celeb star, Nick Knowles, Home is Where the Art Is challenges three talented artists per episode to create beautiful artwork for people they have never met. The trio must try to work out the buyer’s style and taste by snooping around their home while they are not there.
The artists then pitch their ideas to the buyer who will choose their favourite.
Mrs Richmond, a professional ceramic sculptor and painter, said she enjoyed working on the episode with her fellow artists.
She said: “We got along famously and we weren’t very competitive, although we all worked very hard to make sure the idea we each pitched was the best we could make it so the buyers would love it.”
Watch the episode at 3.45pm on Friday on BBC One.
