At first glance you might think it is a picture. But this took self-taught artist Gurekbal Singh Bhachu‏ four months to complete.

The London based artist shared thehand drawn image of Robert Downey Jnr as Iron Man on Twitter recently.

He posted, "I’ve literally been working on this since the beginning of the year so having your support through the progress of this piece has been extremely appreciated. Thank you all so much for the kind words and support!

"As always, here is the list of tools I used for this piece: Paper: Strathmore Toned Tan Pencils: Prismacolor Premier Highlights: Uni Posca Paint Pen."

Social media users were astounded at how intricate the image was.

@TacoTansel posted, "How do you draw in blu ray."

@TylerThaTruth said, "They drawing in 4k now huh."

@Steeler2206 said, "The detail... the sheer detail"

@flelcherfamily asked, "Amazing. Just curious, what was the most difficult part of this particular drawing?"

Gurekbal replied, "Thank you :) The hair was the most difficult but it was all relatively hard, this was my first time in a long time working with realistic skin tones and it involved a lot of colours that I was unfamiliar with blending."

In August last year he shared these images of Avengers arch enemy Thanos.
