A FORMER soldier sent Facebook messages to his former partner's sister which was in breach of a non-molestation order.
Blackburn magistrates heard there was nothing threatening in the messages which were about him wanting to see his daughter.
Mark Edward Haworth, 22, of Brush Street, Burnley, pleaded guilty to two breaches of a non-molestation order.
He was fined £50 with an £85 victim surcharge and made subject to a community order for 12 months.
Alex Mann, prosecuting, said the first message asked the sister where his ex-partner was living and the second asked her to talk to her sister about him seeing his daughter.
Richard Prew, defending, said his client's only previous convictions related to the non-molestation order.
"These are very minor breaches which didn't cause any alarm or distress," said Mr Prew.
"The police didn't take any action over the first message until the second one was sent.
"After that he was arrested and kept in custody. There was no nastiness or malice."
