A woman suffered facial injuries after crashing her car into a stone wall.

Emergency services were called to the incident on Bog Height Road, close to Feniscowles, just after 7.30pm on Thursday.

A spokesperson for the fire service said: "The female driver crashed into a stone wall and suffered facial injuries consistent with hitting her face on the steering wheel.

"The front end of the vehicle was damaged and the dry stone wall was also damaged."

The police and ambulance were in attendance and the woman, who is thought to be in her late thirties or early forties, was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

No other vehicles were involved.
