PEOPLE can find out about learning at a special event next week.
A taster day for Rossendale people to find out about various educational courses and keep fit classes will be held at the A B and D Centre in Burnley Road, Bacup on Thursday April 25 from 11am until 2pm.
It has been organised by Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale Council for Voluntary Service.
It recently undertook a consultation at the A B and D Centre which showed that local residents were very interested in a range of learning courses and keep fit classes.
The Bacup Learning Event is free to attend and anybody interested in learning and developing new skills is encouraged to come along and drop in anytime.
Several Rossendale organisations who deliver a variety of courses will attend.
So far Lancashire Adult Learning, Accrington and Rossendale College, Ekah Foundation, East Lancashire Recovery College from Stubbylee Greenhouses, and Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale CVS have confirmed their participation.
Shaun Dodds, from the CVS, said: “The event is the perfect opportunity to answer any questions you may have about taking a course."
