EAST Lancashire’s very own Antonella Brollini has filmed for a new show to help the BBC “modernise” daytime television.

The sweary social media personality from Haslingden, who does vlogs under the name Antonella The Uncensored Reviewer, has racked up hundreds of thousands of followers on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.

And the 45-year-old has now been lined up to take part in a new TV series The Customer Is Always Right.

The 15-part series will feature “popular YouTube personalities” giving their verdicts on products, from a GPS cat tracking device to a scented candle that melts into massage oil, created by entrepreneurs.

Her latest TV outing comes after she appeared on This Morning in March and was invited by host Philip Schofield to do some review segments for the ITV show.

Antonella said she was excited about the prospect of appearing on mainstream television again.

She said: “I am part of a great team and is a bit Gogglebox-y in terms of being in your own home.

“I have done some work for the BBC before but not mainstream day-time like this. The more people that see me on TV may open more doors for me.

“I know that it is a fickle industry so I will enjoy it for however long it lasts.”

Antonella filmed the show last year but she insists she has so much going on that she forgot about it.

She has taken the internet by storm with her hilariously frank videos giving no-holds-barred opinions on everything from push-up bras to toilet spray.

Dan McGolpin, controller of BBC programming and daytime, said the schedule was being refreshed.

“We are trying to modernise daytime and have a new generation of hits,” he said, after unveiling a Blue Planet spin-off focusing on the seas around Britain.

“We’ve got lots of long-running, popular shows that people love. There’s nothing wrong with that. But we’re trying to bring through a new generation.”

The most famous of the YouTubers taking part in the new show is Mark Hoyle, better known as LadBaby, and his wife Roxanne, who have 3.2 million Facebook followers.

The self-proclaimed “dad blogger” rocketed to the top of the music charts in December with an ode to sausage rolls based on Starship’s 1980s glam-rock song We Built This City.

Lucy Alexander, best known for Homes Under The Hammer, will present the new series later this month.

Groups of family and friends from across the country will also review the products.

Antonella was speaking just hours after she had received a 30-day ban from posting content to her Facebook page.

She said: “This is my fourth ban as I have had three day ones and then 30-day ones.

“I am not as worried as last time I grew my Instagram profile and will do the same this time. When you kick me down I will come back bigger and better.”
