Car crash on Preston New Road in Mellor
FIVE people have been injured after a car and two vans crashed.
Police were called to Preston New Road in Mellor after a Mercedes Sprinter, a Ford Transit van s and a Fiat 500L crashed at around 9.20am.
A police spokesman said the driver of the Mercedes was taken to Royal Preston Hospital.
The road was closed off for a couple of hours while police moved the vehicles.
A police spokesman said: "There were five casualties but fortunately nobody seriously injured."
