CUSTOMER travel from miles around to sample Cissy Green's mouthwatering wares.
And this made them a runaway favourite when it came to the Lancashire Telegraph's best East Lancashire pie summit.
The Haslingden bakery pipped Leavers, of Ewood, Burnley's Haffners, Green's of Blackburn and Haworth's in Darwen, in the running for our online readers' poll.
And in an age when vegan pastries and rolls are making a name for themselves, the tastes of Cissy's customers are decidedly old-school.
Their meat sloggers are far and away the first choice of the pie cognoscenti.
Vicky Burbridge, shop assistant, said: "People will buy one or two then quickly come back for more later. It's always the meat pies for us."
