THIS image from the Lancashire Telegraph archives shows Blackburn Town Hall around 1900.
The hall opened in 1856, five years after the town received its Charter of Incorporation, and cost some £35,000.
Until 1912, when they transferred to Sessions House in Northgate, the town's police officers were also accommodated here.
