IF you want to help the community and learn valuable skills then Greater Manchester Police wants to hear from you.

It is currently recruiting Special Constables to serve alongside its officers.

Special Constables have the same powers and uniform as a regular constable and play an important role in policing the streets.

A spokesman said: "You can work alongside your current job either to gain experience to become a police officer or just do your bit in the community."
