THE ambassador for an Accrington dance group has won a national award.
Becky Rich has come top of the new Learning Disability and Autism Leaders List in the Sports, arts and entertainment category,
She was chosen from 600 nominations for her dancing talents and how she's using those to make dancing more inclusive and accessible
The 28-year-old is an ambassador and spokesperson for the charity Accrington DanceSyndrome based in Waterside in the town.
Hyndburn MP Graham Jones invited her to his constituency office to congratulate her on her achievement.
He said: "I was delighted to meet the amazing Becky.
"I was delighted to hear she had won this national award. It is richly-deserved.
"Accrington’s DanceSyndrome, who perform throughout the North West and perform regularly at Accrington Library, have picked up numerous awards."
