TRAFFIC control measures will be in operation on a busy road over the next three weeks as essential work is carried out.
Resurfacing will begin on Livesey Branch Road today, Monday 25.
The work will be carried out under stop and go boards during the hours of 9.30am and 4.15pm meaning there will be some disruption to traffic.
A council spokesman said: "Work will be undertaken in phases, in order to help minimise disruption, with the first phase commencing at Horden Rake towards Blackburn for 485 metres.
"The full extent of the scheme is expected to be completed within three weeks."
