The motorway is closed between junctions 10 and 9
MOTORISTS travelling in and out of East Lancashire may have to find alternate routes after a crash has left a section of the M6 southbound shut.
A crash has seen three lanes from junctions 25 to 26, near Wigan, close.
A Highways England spokesman said the incident is expected to be cleared between 10.30am and 10.45am and normal traffic conditions were set to return at 11.30am.
