BLACKBURN’S PureGym in The Mall shopping centre will open a new ‘ladies only’ section next week.
It will start on Monday and is response to feedback from members and the wider community.
Gym manager Phil Stephenson said: “The ladies only section will help more local females access a gym facility in comfort, following studies that most females (especially those who are new to a gym) can be quite intimidated and lack confidence in the gym environment.
“In our ladies only area members will have access to a wide range of equipment that our female members tell us they love to use.
“This includes cardio kit such as treadmills, cross trainers, bikes and steppers; and free weights benches and dumbbells
“Working out with others is one of the best ways to stay motivated.”
The gym will also offer an open week from Monday March 25 to Sunday to March 31 for any would be members wanting to try it out for the day.
