A 14-YEAR-OLD boy was taken to Alder Hey Children's Hospital after a serious motorbike smash in Burnley, it has emerged.
The teenager was the pillion passenger on the scrambler bike, police said.
A 24-year-old man, who was riding the bike was air lifted to the Royal Preston Hospital, after the crash on Friday with a broken leg.
Police said he had suffered a 'serious fracture to his femur' - his thigh bone.
Emergency services were called to A671 Padiham Road, Burnley, following the collision involving a scrambler bike and a black Ford Fiesta at around 2.45pm on Friday.
The boy suffered injuries to his leg, hip and hand.
The driver of the Ford Fiesta was left uninjured. No arrests have been made but police are continuing to investigate.
A police spokesman said: “Enquiries are ongoing but if anyone has any information contact us on 101 referencing log number 805 of March 15.”
