A MURDERER from Darwen, who killed his own daughter after getting her pregnant, should "rot behind bars forever", insists her younger brother.

Shane Brown was just 12 when his dad Sean drove his sister Carry-Ann off a motorway bridge in 2003.

The 14-year-old girl survived for five days before her life support was switched off and her father, of Huntington Drive, was jailed for life the following year for her murder.

But Sean Brown can be considered for parole in 2023 so his son Shane, a father-of-two living in Chorley, has spoken out about the tragedy which ripped his family apart.

He has called his father a "conniving and manipulative" bully, who often beat his mother Tracy and formed an "unnatural" bond with his daughter.

Carry-Ann, who had a mental age of seven, fell pregnant but the baby was ordered to be aborted by a High Court judge.

She was placed with a foster family in Whitebirk. But her father remained in contact with the youngster and persuaded her to join him on a drive.

He travelled up the M6 to Cumbria where, after drugging his daughter with sleeping tablets, he caused a horrific crash. This left the teenager with serious head injuries but he jumped clear.

His son is adamant his father, who also confessed to having unlawful sexual intercourse before he was imprisoned at Preston Crown Court, should never be released.

Shane said: "He is an evil monster and should never see the light of day again. What he did to my sister is completely unforgivable.

"I'll never forgive my father for what he did. He should rot behind bars forever."

He said his father lured Carry-Ann away, after she had been placed with a foster family, as he knew DNA tests would reveal the baby to be his.

Shane says his father was "controlling" and had tricked Carry-Ann into joining him on her fatal journey.

Jailing Sean Brown in 2004, Mr Justice Openshaw said: "This matter has no doubt cast, and will cast, a dreadful and terrible burden over the rest of the members of the family which they must bear every day of their lives."

An inquiry later cleared social services of any blame for placing Carry-Ann with a foster family, amid criticism from a relative, that she should have been left with the extended family.
