THE High Sheriff of Lancashire Anthony Attard hosted an awards ceremony at County Hall Preston for the winners of the Lancashire High Sheriff awards.
The awards were presented to 15 people who have contributed significantly to the wellbeing and good of the Lancashire community.
The recipients included Hyndburn councillor Judith Addison, David Brown, chairman of Pendleside Hospice Trustees, Altham parish councillor Rennie Pinder, Barnacre Road Primary School headteacher Simon Wallis, and Together Housing’s head
of repairs and maintenance Angela Stuttard.
Other winners were Colin Ballard, Bernadette Baxter, Martin and Pauline Butters, Lucy Ellis, Paula Gamester, Michael Turner, Carol Wildon, The Safer Custody Team at HMP Preston and Linda Schofield.
High Sheriff Mr Attard said: “During my year in office I come across many people from all over the county that make a great difference to the way this county functions, many of them do this out of the kindness of their hearts but all do
it to make a difference.
“These special awards are to recognise certain people from the voluntary and blue light services that have gone above and beyond expectation”.
