It's Red Nose Day today and this evening, celebrities and comedians will be back on TV raising money for Comic Relief.

In celebration of the event, we're asking you to send in your photos of any fundraising activities you may be participating in, whether it's a non-uniform day at school, or a bake-off competition in the office.

We want to see as many red noses and as much money being raised for vulnerable children in the UK and around the world.

From the contributions we've received so far it appears that schools across East Lancashire are participating in a 'crazy hair' or 'dress in red' day for Comic Relief.

Here's some of your little ones in their outfits. And please, keep your images coming.

For the last Comic Relief appeal in 2017, a total of £72 million was raised by generous viewers, and this year BBC talents will be out in force again to help beat that total.

Sir Lenny Henry will be hosting the event which starts at 7pm on BBC One, and this year's show will see the return of the Four Weddings and a Funeral cast, as well as a new Red Nose Day assignment for Bodyguard's Richard Madden.

Steve Coogan will appear in the guise of the recently-revived Alan Partridge for a documentary spoof, taking to the streets of the DJ's own north Norfolk.

And Jennifer Saunders has penned a parody of Mamma Mia, Mamma Mia Here We Go Yet Again, for the night of comedy and charity.
