BLACKBURN with Darwen Council is asking for residents views as it prepares its new Local Plan.

The document is a development blueprint for the borough until 2036.

It aims ensure new homes, jobs and services are located in the most sustainable locations, along with the necessary infrastructure and facilities, while also aiming to improve our most valued built and natural assets.

Its is askinfgfor residents to take part in a consultation which runs until Monday April 1 at 5pm.

People can get involved in as special survey in three ways:

* By email to: forwardplanning@blackburn.gov.uk; or

* By post to: Local Plan Consultations, Growth Team, Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, First Floor, One Cathedral Square, Blackburn, BB1 1FB.

Copies of the consultation documents are available at all Blackburn with Darwen Town Halls and libraries and at The Barlow in Edgworth.

Cllr Phil Riley, the borough's regeneration boss, said: "Getting public feedback to the new ideas and proposals is an essential step in building a plan that works for everyone, providing housing and opportunities for employment and further growth to build on recent positive developments.”
