Seven sixth-formers from a Burnley high school took to the high seas in January 1982 as they set off on a cruise to Greece, Egypt, Israel, Turkey and Italy.
The Boarding School at Sea initiative, where six girls and one boy got to sail aboard the SS Uganda, was organised to help them prepare for their general studies exams.
