HYNDBURN Council is holding events for residents to have their say on a Local Plan.
It has already hosted drop-in sessions on the blueprint for housing, commercial and industrial development in the borough in Rishton, Clayton-le-Moors and Accrington.
It will hold three more this month. They are at Great Harwood’s Churchfield House, tomorrow, from 3.30pm to 6.30pm; Oswaldtwistle’s Hippings Vale Centre on Thursday from 3.30pm to 6.30pm; and Huncoat Primary School on Tuesday, March 26, between 3.30pm and 7.30pm which will also discuss the township’s masterplan.
Cllr Miles Parkinson, leader of Hyndburn Council, said: “The council has to maintain up-to-date plans to support growth, so there is enough land for homes, jobs and the infrastructure necessary to support them. We’re urging as many people as possible to take part in the debate and help shape the plan which will take the borough up to 2036. At this stage no decisions have been taken and so it is important that as many people get involved as possible and have their say about this.”
It will run until April 8.
