PROSPECTIVE candidates for a borough's elections are invited to a meeting on next week to find out more about the process.

Ribble Valley goes to the polls on Thursday, May 2.

Would-be candidates for borough and parish council elections and their agents are invited to join officials at 6pm on Tuesday, March 19, in the Ribble Valley Borough Council Chamber in Church Street, Clitheroe.

The meeting will include a question and answer session for anyone considering standing.

Ribble Valley returning officer and borough chief executive Marshal Scott said: “This is a relatively informal meeting for anyone interested in standing for election.

“The council’s elections team will be on hand to answer questions about the elections process and what being a borough or parish councillor entails.”
