A car hit a barrier on a motorway today, causing slight disruptions to journeys.
The black BMW crashed into the central reservation barrier on the M65 eastbound between junctions two and three. Nobody was hurt during the incident, although the car was badly damaged.
It happened at 9.20am but took police only 15 minutes to clear and major delays were avoided.
The Lancashire Police Tactical Operations team posted a statement on twitter urging drivers to remain careful and check the condition of their vehicle before travelling, as it can be avoided.
The weather conditions due to Storm Gareth may cause accidents if people are not careful, they warned.
