A HOUSEHOLD waste recycling centre in Rossendale will be closed today (TUESDAY).

The Lancashire County Council tip at Haslingden's Duckworth Clough will be shut all day to allow new storage cabins to be delivered to the site.

It will reopen tomorrow (WED).

The nearest alternative recycling centres are at Balderstone Lane in Burnley and Altham (Whinney Hill).

Paul Pimrick, manager of the centre, said: "We're sorry for any inconvenience while the site is closed and would ask people to plan their visit around this."
