Two fundraising brothers who've been wearing shorts all winter in memory of their mum, will be at the official opening of a new burger bar this weekend.

Tom, 10, and Jack Mayoh, nine, have set themselves a target of £20,000, which they will donate to East Lancashire Hospice, who helped care for their mum, Louise, before she died from cancer in July.

And on Saturday, the boys will be guests of honour as they cut the ribbon at the grand opening of The Little Crown burger bar in Accrington.

The siblings, from Darwen, have so far raised more than £19,000 for the Hospice and are hoping to smash their target before the end of the month.

And Landlady of The Crown Pub, Emma Gilmartin, said that by the end of this weekend, they should definitely have achieved that.

She said: "The boys will be here for the duration of the day with collection buckets, and all proceeds of food purchased at The Little Crown, will be donated to East Lancashire Hospice.

"The staff will also be getting involved, and there'll be a raffle, prize draws and competitions throughout the day.

"These boys have been so courageous since their mum died and East Lancashire Hospice is our charity, so we just wanted to get them down and help them out."

The Little Crown burger bar is situated in the car park of The Crown Pub, Whalley Road, Accrington.

The boys will be there from 11.30am on Saturday and fundraising will be taking place all day.
